ULA just wants to monetize it and take in the bigger piece of the cake. I wouldn’t be surprised if they introduced a membership to take pics due to “social media pressure” in the future. I’m just glad these people aren’t in charge of the sp

Nice article! I remember three years ago, I needed to spawn a few processes in Node, and I ended up using child process spawn to spawn an external binary. It was fast and instantaneous (no benchmarks). It was on a Linux OS, ARM-based.

Amazon used to be somewhat trustworthy, but now I trust my local thrift store more. The last time I bought something from Amazon was around 1.5 years ago. There are even stores that have a business model of selling Amazon’s returned product

Spot on, it’s so frustrating with all these hoops some companies put in place, and the middle managers at some point start to act as wranglers.. Not to mention the gap that always happens between the engineers (who build and do the work) an

Absolutely guilty of that! Although the article mainly focuses on software that I also assume isn’t critical, sometimes you have to get the work done perfectly, or it’s a major risk or an overall issue for the project success. For example,

Instead of looking into a two-tier payment system to try in North America, because I assume that’s the whole purpose of this article, how about copying the Japanese model on tipping? It’s out of hand here; even fast food places like Five Gu

To be fair, the vertical recording here fits the context. Also, the fact that the recorder held the camera steady and kept the content within the frame is great by itself. A lot of times, you end up with shaky, useless footage.

I might be cynical, but I have seen many cases of companies open-sourcing a few products for PR and promotional purposes, where the open-source community takes care of the promotion work for free. Fast forward a few years, and a license cha
