The one I wish they had measured was createElement compared to innerHTML replacement. In my job I was always shocked to see massive HTML strings appended or replaced in an objects innerHTML, and instead wrote lots of createElements and crea

Cool, keep downvoting. But what I'm saying is that performance etc always comes at the cost of something. In this case: font-rendering and anti-aliasing. Firefox renders text-effects beautifully!

Yeah, but it still renders text funny when css effects such as text-shadow are applied to it. The anti-aliasing goes all early Windows Safari on you.

Having just saw the indie flick "Moon" the other night, this scares me. Not from the humanitarian literal sense, but more so what corners a corporation may be willing to cut and safety measures forgone in order to minimise costs.

Just some pieces of constructive critcism; the flow of information on the homepage is very confusing. I can't quite make out what you want the user to look at first, nor what is the most important information on the page. Your call to actio

Oops, I meant to reply, not upvote. Sharepoint is only really utilised because it comes as part of Microsoft's enterprise package. More often than not it is recommended/purchased by the IT department solely, without any other input from man

We're running Intranet DASHBOARD. It's an incredibly cost effective Australian-made product. When you're quoted upwards of $1 mil for Sharepoint licenses you'll understand.

That would only apply to a highly competitive market. In this case, you have one store with a long history of customer satisfaction.

iiNet is pretty much the fall guy for this issue, as a vast array of other ISPs provide a similar "look the other way" service and are never publicly called out for it. It's more so the fact that every time iiNet undermines the Government's

I think being a "booklet" is the only way Microsoft and Apple are going to protect a tablet device from in-use damage such as scratches and being dropped. But then again, look at the iPhone.

Just remember that sometimes doing things the "right" way can really slow your code down. I started coding believing that text should be added with createTextNode and any HTML element should be created via createElement. This causes two iss

Some usability flaws: - There are no back buttons when cycling through domains (or any indication on what number of domain you're on - perhaps an iPhone style page counter would do?) - For Google, there are much more than 3 options. A "..."

That's a good idea, but it's also battery conservation and the knowledge that it's also OFF. Certain processes can hang and chew through your battery until you restart, which is also why it's nice to turn it off of a night.
