Yeah and it’s going to bankrupt VW/Stellantis. Surprised Europeans just don’t seem to give a damn about that.

Doesn’t Tesla have a large and profitable storage business now? Probably could have just built that instead of buying SolarCity.

Americans are absolutely not a fan of this administration and it will be severely neutered after the midterms. The Supreme Court is already doing some of that. Americans are not your enemy, Washington (state), California, Illinois, etc (AKA

Just because it doesn’t generate a yield doesn’t mean it doesn’t have value. Fresh drinking water is incredibly valuable and will be more so as its supply dwindles.

Why would gold, something that’s had value for thousands of years prior to the Industrial Revolution, have any value?

Nothing new here. LA Times is owned by a right wing billionaire. They post this catastrophizing garbage on the regular now.

I didn’t support any of those wars. I wasn’t even alive/of voting age for most of them.

Exactly. The Democrats are the lesser of two evils, but they still carry water for the billionaires. Neither party represents what people really want (Medicare for all, at least as an option, lower defense spending, etc)

I feel like there’s a logical fallacy in your response. I’m down for cutting significantly more than $1 billion. Halving the defense department budget would be a good start.

Did you vote for this mess? I sure didn’t, I live in a state with almost 50 million people and feel like we’re powerless to stop this nonsense.

Appreciate your response. I’m just frustrated, because while I vote one way (in California ) for liberal policies, the rest of the country seems to vote another. Americans are a varied group and we all get lumped together with these idiots.

Thanks for your feedback. I didn’t vote for this administration, I think they’re idiots, and yet I still get blamed for them. It’s exhausting.

I’m happy to spend on supporting the poor worldwide; I’m just tired of the US playing team America world police. I also want Americans to get the same deal Europeans and Canadians get on prescription drugs.

No offense taken. Clearly I’ve already upset a lot of people though. It’s not just the WHO, which is “only” 1 billion apparently.

As an American, farmers here fucked around and found out. Last time Trump and Congress bailed them out in the last “trade war”, didn’t happen this time. Screw ‘em.

It was a bad election cycle for incumbents worldwide. Many Americans are hurting from the cost of living and wanted a change. I know many who are definitely not racist (in interracial marriages/relationships even) who voted for Trump j

Please, just leave already. Stop talking about it and just do it. It’s like people talking about how awful social media is. Just don’t fucking use it. Nothing would make Americans happier than an alternative. Europeans, go build your own bi

As a software engineer this scares me from an employment perspective but I also use Claude Code to produce 90% of the code I commit now (after reviewing and revision of course) so there’s that… ;)

It’s going to be wild to see how much more broke Wyoming is going to be when the rest of the country finally transitions off of coal (and later gas). It’s already depressing to drive through.
