This efficiency doesn't translate to EV battery packs. They require thousands of welds, the pack contains ends up with plenty of empty space and it's impractical to replace parts of it.

That's a pre-release and is covered by Semver.

Not much? EVs have better weight distribution and axle loads are similar to the front axle of an ICE car. The road wear goes up to the third power of weight so you really should be looking at semis for road wear.

While we're on the subject of Tesla, add the control stalks. Supposedly the Model 3 refresh will be dropping these.

Yet Tokyo is mandating rooftop solar for new buildings. The good thing is that solar can be adapted to the environment to the point where it just doesn't make sense not to use it.

EVs will maintain the battery temperature if plugged in, usually at 0C. Even if not plugged-in they'll try to keep the battery above temperatures that may be damaging, e.g. -30C. This only works for a sufficiently charged battery.

The TypeScript's team decision to ship breaking changes in minor releases surely doesn't help library authors. Breaking changes are introduced way too often and the compiler can't output backwards-compatible types.

If this is true, why do you need unique item keys? React cares about loops a lot more than it may seem at a first look.

Just a nitpick, but querySelectorAll returns a NodeList. This can bite at times, for example IE supports Array.forEach, but not NodeList.forEach

Works well for me. The only thing I dislike is the GUIDs for the containers that can't be changed to something shorter. At the time I had to decide ezjail didn't work with FreeBSD 10, not sure if it has been updated.

Am I the only one who thinks RAID controllers are a placebo and wouldn't trust anything but ZFS? What was even more interesting is that our SSDs are connected to the Dell H700/H710 RAID controller which has a battery backup unit

Should've formatted them with ZFS or something j/k :> Confirmed from my experience too. Luckily, archives with recovery records sometimes saved the day.

Note that they still keep the regional pricing. I can understand a small difference, but 60% (EU) is complete nonsense.

Well said, mate. The fact that big corporations can get away with this pisses me to no end. I hope at least the shareholders will be paying some taxes :)
