Is this just a really polite, introspective take on (Rails|Ruby) is a Ghetto? I can't point out one really valid critique in this entire rant. While I imagine that you've had enough kool-aid to actually believe the things you said

I find it pretty interesting that the only real concern was "can this team solve my technical problem using the best tools in the shortest amount of time" but did not seem to consider things like, "What happens when this team

This is the DHH everyone has come to expect, and enjoys reading. The entire premise of rails is based on putting negative light on configuration, this is sort of David's M.O. The rails community has come to terms with the lack of pedan

So, was this meant to be a counter point to DHH's article in any way? I really just got that you're mighty pissed that RR Parley banned some of your posts. Dually, DHH didn't say TDD was dead, he specifically said "TDD i

Wow, kudos to this perspective. I could have seen these design blogs rattling out a list of reasons why Yahoo's logo process isn't "The Right Way" -- namely because it reduces the process of designing a logo(and dependin

Maybe I'd know the answer faster if I just tried, but, does this let people pair from, lets say, SublimeText to Vim? From the screenshots it seems to be one-way(sharing from a native editor to Floobits web editor).

Yeah, I'm not really feeling the persuasion here. I really don't know many "frontend developers" or "backend developers" to begin with. I know plenty of people struggle writing maintainable, well structured applications or who don't grasp f

Unless I missed a particular story, I haven't seen Summly or Yahoo! announce the number is $30m. A reasonable point here was that relicensing from SRI for the core functionality of this app could be a large part of the purchase price. Als

So, what you're saying is, the next published paper will be on how Megauploads shutdown has increased the sales of music? I wonder what dinner theatre ticket sales look like over this term, maybe digital piracy is killing the stage!?

This reeks of immaturity. Not since high school has the sentiment of "I'm wearing headphones to be left alone" been a popular or reasonable one. At least during those years, peers could look at you and make the mistake that you're so deep t

Aside from the photo gallery, which actually feels improved, I think everything else about this redesign went in totally the wrong direction. A massive sect of users is stuck in the "give me simple, stupid" mindset, and the platform popular
