GPT 5.6 seems to have this more than previous versions and more than Claude. It recently said to me "As a PPL holder I would..." So I asked whether it held a PPL :-) the correction was something like "No I'm an AI but a

Their model sounds similar to ESW Capital. The main threat would probably be some form of SaaS-pocalypse, they both own a lot of fairly simple SaaS products with high prices.

Did you read the article? This was not a case of "fixing their car" this was a 4 million dollar business selling illegal services to disable emission controls. They absolutely deserved to be prosecuted.

But do they want to start a game of chicken with Google? Doing it to Anthropic is one thing, they're much smaller and less B2C. But Google is far more powerful and likely to defend their UK/EU business because they're also fu

OpenRA is great, it feels like a better version of Red Alert 2. The one thing I'm missing is C&C Generals and Zero Hour. Those were also really fun to play over LAN.

I thought "Free market!!1!" was basic US policy. But apparently you can't do any consumer protection laws, but you can regulate AI access to only your wealthy friends / campaign sponsors.

Consider it from a European perspective: The US under this administration is more unreliable than China. If Trump decides tomorrow that he's unhappy about something he'll pull some random other thing to bully the other side. You c

These are export restrictions, so if the model is in London (how do you determine that? The weights? The training itself?) there is no need to export it from the US. Then Google may have found gold. They can sell it to everyone that can

Sounds like bad advice. Registering a local company in the Netherlands is super simple, tax is an online portal, everyone could do it. Setting op a foreign Delaware company means you're then dealing with international tax issues. Unles

That's the American viewpoint, right of the strongest, sue if they wronged you. European systems typically have a different philosophy where the counterparties are more protected. It's expressed in stronger consumer protection law

The Netherlands changed the rules 14 years ago to allow a BV (equivalent to a German GmbH or US LLC) with zero starting capital. If suppliers want to check company capital, the data is public with the companies register (KvK for locals). Th

The time of tapping in at the ticket barriers counts for the whole trip. If you get in just before the start of peak-hours, you still pay the off-peak rate for the whole trip. But if you tap in before 9am, the whole trip counts as peak-rate

It started out as an idea to introduce the same concept as the Deutschlandticket in NL. But the government has a budget deficit and the national railway company expected a capacity issue during peak hours. As a result the ticket is only val

Planes don't age in the same way cars do. There is a maintenance schedule that inspects and replaces almost literally every component at some point. So the engines on these planes can be just a year old for example. And the military ha

There is, but it's limited. For example Forgejo does not expose CI build logs via the API so it's hard to make Claude auto-fix a build issue. I still need to find the time to get into the Forgejo code and add that endpoint.

Jup, quite common in the Netherlands. There are 10 minute trains from Utrecht to Amsterdam. And form Rotterdam and Den Haag to Schiphol. And from Utrecht to Den Bosch and Eindhoven. Most of these are double decker trains and long platforms

The Netherlands should do this as well, maybe DB will then at some point figure out how to run a train on time. The ICEs from Germany are more often late than on time, which then causes delays for other trains using the same tracks.

And at the same time they claim it can't be rolled out in Europe because the DMA would force them to allow selection of other AI providers? Which would not even be true if this was an Apple product built on the models of Google, just l

Sounds like Apple PR bullshit. Unless Apple proves otherwise I'm more inclined to believe they're either 1. Using this to try and shape the DMA in their own interest (definitely not their users' interest) or 2. Doing somethin

I use the same approach a lot. Before AI I also did this manually. First sit down with a user and just paper and pencil, then hack together a frontend POC / demo, have them play with it and adjust until it works as they wanted. For me

Give it access to an issue tracker with cli (github works fine) and put in CLAUDE.md to use that for "should fix later" issues. Bonus is that you can make it look at the list and pick things up without a lot of instructions.

Just like Dutch military air traffic controllers, they sit in the same building as the civilians but wear a uniform and get paid less.
