At least others agreed to eventually settle on Wayland, while Canonical is really reinventing the wheel with Mir.

I jumped Bootstrap 4 and I like it, but currently it takes some effort to adapt to breaking changes, which is fine, it's alpha after all.

Migration from 3 to 4 will certainly be a pain but then you're gonna love it. I love new cards, utility classes, better out of the box support for mobile browsers. But beware of breaking changes between alphas, there are quite a few.

Frontend: React (via create-react-app), good old Bootstrap Backend: backend as a service like Firebase or Horizon/Rethinkdb. Vendor lock-in is a big concern here but you can get your prototype done so fast with those tools.

This works for libraries/frameworks installed in a common place, like /usr/lib or /Library/Frameworks. But, all those apps ship their own copy of Electron, so there is no simple way for OS to share pages.

I guess there is nothing scary about that, but the code is such a fucking spaghetti it's hard be sure. Not to offend the authors though, I bet they were under pressure writing the client.

Thanks! asyncio and aiohttp works well so far. But this particular example (music bot) uses synchronous bindings to MongoDB so it's not fully async. There are asyncio bindings for Mongo, but I haven't tried them. I have another bo

Oh the memories of nights spent downloading sources on Dial-Up and nights compiling them on Gentoo. Back then we all had hope for the bright future for Linux on desktop, but it never made it, now we are all on OSX :/
