Is the copyright notice supposed to apply to the empty program?

Yes but that's exactly what I meant. ASCII wastes 1 bit by character (the 8th bit isn't used). What if the source was encoded in such a way that it is "contracted" (the unused bit of the first character is the first bit

Sorry my reply wasn't clear, I understood the question you were asking in your original comment. I was actually referring to your 2-edge protocol when I wrote that it seems the Verifier could not be tricked even in the simulated protoc

I agree, the quoted paragraph is not clear. It seems to me that the Verifier could not be tricked even using the rewinding trick if it was allowed to use its memory (internal copy of the graph-coloring).

I wonder if a few bytes could be saved by encoding the source in 7bit ascii, decoding and running through eval. Not sure if that makes sense.

UI/UX is a very serious thing of its own given that the most popular consumer OSes today are arguably not the most technically superior.

I'm starting to believe (hard) AI should get the same status as politics and religion on HN. Those comment threads debating the true nature of AI are getting repetitive.

Exactly. All the benefits Nevada gains from this deal would equally apply to a small business albeit at a much smaller scale. It's hard to blame Elon though, he is just playing the game.

They probably got hacked. This happens to the best companies and nothing much can be done about it. I don't think it's fair to call them "so negligent" yet.
