I accept it because I don't really care if Uber knows where I am for a couple of minutes after they drop me off. Not everyone's cup of tea, but if you don't like it there's nothing stopping you from uninstalling the app.

That's a good point. What's to stop a u/spez with rustled jimmies finding someone he doesn't like, then editing their comment in such a way that it suddenly becomes libellous? How could the commenter possibly prove that

It's not like Trump is responsible for who endorses him. But if we're going to apply that logic, then we may as well get all up in arms about the Clinton Foundation and the countries who've backed that.

To be fair though, if they released them all two years ago no one would remember it at election time. The great unwashed masses tend to have an attention span and memory that can be measured in seconds.

As someone who used to lie a lot as a child, this is 100% true. I have to think through half of what I say before I say it to work out whether I'm lying or not, most ridiculous 'habit' ever.
