It's also 3x slower than opus 4.8 per my use, and 10x slower than codex. Codex can find key design issues in 2 minutes yet Fable is clueless after spinning 20 minutes.

For embedded products, 1GB can go a long way thanks for linux customization and such.

truly scary. 2x at least token burning rate comparing to 4.8, can indeed run auto edit mode for hours. use it for super complex tasks then use cheaper model to do the rest, else will be broke.

After a few months, now I could barely use up my $200 Claude Max unless I try really hard, I got it corporate API billing is more expensive, but, $1500 really should be enough for most work for me as a developer, am I missing something?

For me, Pi6 shall focus on NPU to run edge models instead of getting into minipc space, e.g. 10TOPS built-in, that will be slightly better than Rockchip 3588 which was produced 4 years back at 6TOPS, and way more powerful than NXP's 2T

kind of agree here, golang is my main LLM language. for low-level, it's C or Lua, or modern c++ for simple cross-platform system daemons.

I somehow felt he, along with Andrew Ng, are very few well-known AI experts that are left behind on the money side during the AI-gets-me-super-rich crazy time, unfortunately.

from a different perspective, there are way more people who are truly miserable these days comparing to these who earn probably more than half a million per year on average. we must live in parallel universe.

Microsoft won the first around, now it's lagging far behind. CEO needs to go, it's so hard to ruin a play this badly.

Easier said than done. once you are given a lazy way to do things faster and easier and mostly better, it's hard to go back. this is by design. there is no turning point. this addiction is as strong as drugs I feel.

Ubuntu Desktop 26.04 LTS requires a 2 GHz dual-core processor or better, a minimum of 6 GB RAM and 25 GB of free storage space for a comfortable experience.

wish I had a rtx5090 instead of the rtx4090 so I can run this, need 32GB VRAM I assume, no I use Linux and I do not enjoy MacOS, I wish x86 family has something like M5 Pro though.

I wish it's that simple. Not all components are LGPL, so when you're doing LGPL and you suddenly need some must-have-but-not-LGPL component, you're in trouble.

Used it briefly, would rather using 4.6 instead. Time to get on Codex's $100 plan and downgrade Claude plan, what a disappointment.
