The company Unity is exploiting Unity the development platform. Developers have a choice to use it. But at the end of the day, it's an analogy. It won't be perfect. My point remains that this is perhaps the only way an end user

It isn't "Scorched earth". It's boycotting by proxy. >Unity themselves have given enough incentive. Sure, if they change on their own volition, then I have no need to boycott those developers. This adds to that incent

I used a hyperbole to get my point across. I'm not equating the two. I mean, even not using them as a development platform is something. But I don't get the logic behind supporting them as a purchaser of games? Is it just FOMO?

Is it really though? As an end user, I don't actively buy things from massive coffee distributors, just as I do not use unity to develop things. If the cafe, in this example, carries other beans- I'd have no reason not to buy thos

Haven't had a chance to implement it, but this sounds rad. I never thought to use hover in userchrome.css! Brilliant! Thank you!

Those developers will then need to pivot in response to market changes. But yes, that's often how it goes. If you boycott a child-labor produced coffee, and it just so happens that your favourite indie cafe uses that as their main coff

> If you play indie PC games you can’t boycott Unity without missing a ton of really good games. The naivete involved in expecting to boycott a product without having any inconveniences never ceases to amuse me. The very nature of boycot

As they say, those who don't understand / learn from history are doomed to repeat it. Apple learned that having them separate was more beneficial, a lesson Google and Spotify have not.

How would you do that latter part? I currently have a userchrome.css for something similar but I wasn't aware that you could have conditionals in css.

Yep! This and a few userchrome.css modifications is all it took for me. A few css transitions and hidden elements and viola, it functions better than edge does.

Google absolutely has qualm about you using Firefox. Yes, they pay Moz money to keep them as the preferred search, but that's because it's the better of two options (no data at all from you, or at least your search data). But if y

There's a clear difference between skepticism and cynicism. I don't think one needs to be a cynic to be skeptical about outlandish or otherwise scientifically unproven claims (i.e. religion). If we are to look at the greek roots&#

You can disagree without being angry or cynical. That you think you need to be cynical, pissed, or "pissing on the happy-go-lucky-parade" to disagree and engage with real problems is the notion I hold issue with. >So, they woul
