That's not true. Google Analytics cookies are injected via JS. When heroku's Varnish is checking for a cached version of the page, it strips any cookie information given by the browser. We've are running production apps with Varnish caching

Instead of shoving the whole dictionary onto the client side (as clever as that is), he could also look up all the anagrams & subanagrams given a set of letters and then match against that subset of words. Check out http://stackoverflo

Too bad it's not actually anonymous at all. You can easily identify anyone by viewing the source of their FB pic. For example: http://profile.ak.fbcdn.net/hprofile-ak-snc4/hs444.snc4/48985_665523839_4409_q.jpg profile ID is 665523839

You should deploy to heroku and not worry about munin, new relic, etc. Let someone else sysadmin. For DMCA takedown requests, establish a process that allows the company to remove the script (a lot like youtube) without taking down the whol

Squid static page caching helps them a lot, I'm sure. S3 for image serving. Backend is written in PHP, IIRC.

This looks great for folks using heroku and taking advantage of the provided Varnish full-page caching. Other solutions (like A/Bingo) require you to have a dynamic part of the page.
