there are two fix: applyOpenSSLFix and installLinuxPRNGSecureRandom . The first is only applied to jelly bean. The prng one is for all the versions.

If I understood their code/doc, the public keys must be exchanged out of band. So how could the proxy pass for another person?

They found that the nexus s infringed the bounce back patent. But this is impossible as it use vanilla android which has never implemented this behaviour. So it looks like kinda rushed for _some_ decisions.
