Thanks! I'll speak with them. I know everything is through Bamboo/whatever software nowadays so I wasn't sure if they really had any control/input on these things.

Yep, here we go, the condescension of Hn. The point is they know my exact income and should be able to handle it, not make me figure it out at the end of the year. I have no idea why I got a random $5k bill. It could be something else. And

It absolutely was taxed. I also have never received a paycheck that wasn't pre-taxed. It was something like a $30k bonus and I received about $17kish of it. Be more condescending though, that's helpful, wise one. I didn't say

I do get a 20% bonus at this company and I think it is attributed to that. It was my first time getting that bonus. What do I even do here? Talk to HR? I don't think I can do anything and just suck it up and pay it and expect it next y

The tax system here (usa) is an absolute joke. I owed $5k this year and I literally did nothing different except receive a small 5% raise last year. I have the most basic taxes you can, single, no kids, no house. Literally just a salary pay

LMAO I have no idea how much money it cost but I do remember my parents yelling at me for it. I'm pretty sure they charged by the minute. I wonder how many 8 year olds like me called them and how they talked about that in the break roo

My number was 163766, funny how I'll never forget it. Also I've only seen a handful of people with lower numbers than me. I remember when there used to be an ebay market for selling your 6 digit numbers. IIRC they started at 10000

I supported Aloha about 20 years ago, which back then was probably the most popular/common POS system used at every bar/restaurant/store. If you saw a bubble moving around as a screensaver on a POS it was probably Aloha. They

I loved SQ but it frustrated me so much. As a kid I could NOT get anywhere with it without one of those hint books with the red garbled text or calling the Sierra Hint Line (on my parents bill...). All of the Sierra games, as much as I love

Right, there's no customer service at all. Nobody to call or contact, not that I could call. I switched to an iPhone at another carrier that week. I've de-googled my life as much as possible.

It really frustrates me when a project has a GUI and there are no screenshots of it on their github. I know exactly what Windirstat looks like, I have no idea what this will/does look like and shouldn't have to install it to find

About a decade ago when I worked in IT I used Treesize Pro to scan SMB volumes and delete the MOVIES that employees had downloaded on their computers, which meant they were downloading MOVIES to our SAN because we used roaming profiles. I&#

Nope. Zero difference. I was a paying Google DNS, GoogleFI, and Gmail user. Maybe more. The first thing that happened was my Google Wallet/Pay account was marked as fraud. I didn't know this until my OTHER accounts stopped working

A CEO being a people pleaser is probably (verifiably here) a terrible mixture. He basically threw them out to the wolves. There's a quote in there where one of his employees likens him to Donald Trump. Found that interesting.
