Perfect! I've worked with a lot of C kernel security devs and I don't think I've ever seen one of them write something not Cish, like python/ruby/go/etc. So, what exactly happens here - you need to write a kern

I've done every bit of the kernely/cgroupy/bpf/vfio/syscall stuff for a long time and I honestly don't think I could tell you pretty much anything about building an OS. I actually came into this thread thinking

Yes look up any $server and #chat_room and you'll probably find one that has an almost elasticsearch quality search feature where you can specifically pick a user and see everything they've said and run sentiment values on it, etc

I guarantee you I don't know a single xdcc command anymore without looking them up and I used them for 15 years, whereas I could probably leave discord for 5-15 years and still try to right click someone and drag a file over to their n

Yeah I was thinking that when I saw the speed, I remember wanting OC1 at my house but I couldn't even afford shotgun dsl or whatever it was back then, maybe it was shotgun t1s. HPB (high ping bitch in counterstrike 1.6) :(

That's super identifying of a nickname I used when i was 8-16 that would have IRC logs all over the internet so I won't be passing that on, sorry. God knows what stupid shit I said back then. I still use the domains from back then

You pretty much covered all of my points. Also, impersonating a user is against Discord TOS. It's only if the user is actively portraying themselves as that user to others and not just a nickname switch and being goofy, IIRC. Personall

I didn't grow up in California but Virginia so it was pretty lonely. Everyone online was from CA in the 90s and my friends didn't start having family computers until probably the 2000s. And my parents really weren't very help

What exactly is considered when putting a dc together that jumps you from knowing that instead of maybe a very large/massive cluster of whatever 1024 core servers your project needs a mainframe? I've been in cluster infra for like

I was an op when I was under 18, stopped using IRC 15+ years ago, and used it in total for probably 15-20 years. I'm 39 and started at .. Idk, probably 8-9. I think I was an op from 12-16 maybe 17. A lot of ops were people who synced (

I was an ircop on efnet for like half my childhood until they figured out I wasn't 18 and desynced my server. I just could never go back to IRC. I stopped using it probably 15 years ago or more after using it for 20ish years. Got my fi

I just made my bsky account, and I know I shouldn't be surprised I guess but.. I can't believe it looks exactly like twitter. I don't know what it'd be like but I expected some newer different ui/ux.

I've spoken about this previously, I write a huge number of TUI apps. I write every single app the have a nice TUI frontend for people who are less technical (like QA) that is purely the UI/UX IF you want to use it. What that does

I want to say we brought on 1s around 90 but in full honesty that's just my assumption and what I would probably pay one if I signed the check. I have had a lot of SWE 1 friends who wanted to move to SRE 1 and it's around 20k less

How can malware prevent a panic? Its process is priority over pid1? I'm very ignorant to this stuff. Wouldn't the kernel know it's being manipulated, like a startup/JIT checksum or something?
