What's going to be hard is preventing users from devaluing their Flattr clicks to get past Flattr-based paywalls. Simplest version: I have a personal array of strawman sites, which I click on a lot in order to funnel almost all of my Flattr

The biggest Python 3 annoyance I have is forcing Unicode strings on everyone. My code is not for widespread/enterprise release, so I do not care at all whether people for whom ASCII is not good enough can use it. Python 3 forces me to dis

What extra code? I've got a struct definition, a print_list function, cons, and a really dumb testing driver that builds the list [1 2 3], reversing and printing it a few times throughout its construction. The line count of all that [EDIT:

Interestingly, file(1) can't identify lzma(1)-compressed files (they show up as data), but unlzma(1) reassuringly knows the difference between LZMA and random data. This came up once or twice in DEFCON CTF quals ( http://www.vnsecurity.net/

It's possible (albeit slowly and indirectly) if you have enough energy to spawn, because dead cells always drop 25 energy. (They take 50 energy from their creator and start with 25 energy, so spawning doesn't create extra.)

This is a non-statement -- if the code is IO-bound, then of course CPU performance is not a problem (except for things like, say, power usage, but we'll ignore that). The "power" of Python is to make code that should be IO-bound CPU-bound
