No mention of encryption. And you can operate your "cloud data" from anywhere using owncloud or the bittorrent version of cloud with a private key. I'd be much more willing to trust an encrypted version or anything else. Your basically aski

Yay conspiracy theories! On a more serious note this isn't really all that new probably as it says even Rockefeller was an early one. It is more interesting that the world is so easy to dismiss some of the good conspiracies that are like th

I think the main strange issue I have with your idea is that you can do all that stuff you are saying on a peer-to-peer network and it'd at least be a bit more encrypted. Developing a whole new "facebook" appliance almost seems silly.

How to route the thing? Through a peer-to-peer network? If so it's slightly better, but using a peer to peer architecture for just "facebook" seems strange. It'd be very hard to maintain without a central location somewhere. Surprisingly fa

And I'm upvoting him. Because hes right. I don't want to read 3 of the same stories. And this happens way too often with HN. He knows what hes talking about.

This is exactly what I'm talking about. Even layman people can use their regular computers for more interesting activities like machine learning on decent sized data if it wasn't so focused on just throw your cloud instance up using hadoop

I think I will try posting this again if this does not get more traction. I really think this is Hacker News material. It explains about a lot of what is going on with a bunch of the major tech companies and involves programming both of whi

Very well said. I wholeheartedly agree. The original poster seems more confused about the news being about being a hate towards other countries from fear of terrorism, but in fact it seems more of an overzealous government just trying to ov

Thanks for the reply. From what I've read researching deep learning is still very promising regardless if it's a new field or not. I was just wondering if you had any idea of how to interpret results a bit more. It seems that I'll have to f

Ok, this looks awesome. I've been meaning to get some use from deep learning. However. . . I'd like to read about a bit more specifics as to what exactly in daytrading or stock trading in general using deep networks can figure out particula

Sounds awfully close to Forex online trading. Might be good idea to do a stock news blog? Based on the results Forex might want to purchase it or just not like you very much.

"News-programming, or whatever you want to call it, has just gotten started, at a time when the industry is too busy flailing in a downward revenue spiral to put serious thought into anything." I wouldn't say it's completely in a downward s

This is a good idea; but if your single computer is hack'd that is just as bad as if someone just got on your computer when you were just walking away and you were still logged in. It makes identity and account problems just as problematic.
