How does not owning a car imply outsourcing those things? That's only true if you hiring a cab everywhere you go and order all your groceries to be delivered. If I bike everywhere I go, including the grocery store I'm not outsou

You can have forced induction with two-strokes if you use direct injection. It ends up being pretty efficient because you can blow all the exhaust out of the cylinders and have clean air for the next cycle. You also don't need to add

10hp from a 50c two-stroke is easy. Road racers were getting 17+ with 70's technology. Those engines also had about a 100 rpm powerband, though. So you'd see 50cc bikes with as many as 14 gears.

They aren't switching from lithium. In the tweet he even says there's plenty of lithium. They are switching from a nickel cathode to an iron cathode due to the scarcity/cost of nickel. The title should definitely be changed

The story referenced in this article, "The Machine Stops", by E.M. Forester is a pretty short read (25 pages). For people who like going into books/movies with no knowledge of plot summary, you can read it online before read

I like that Bill Murray quote. But here's a Jim Carrey semi-rebuttal (I read it as mostly talking about the rich part): “I think everybody should get rich and famous and do everything they ever dreamed of so they can see that it'

So did I. But it's because I confused it with the "Come into my World" video, directed by Michel Gondry. One of the best music videos, in my opinion. It still would have been a little odd to see it here, though. https:&#x

"rainbow color maps are bad" I disagree with blanket statements like this. Rainbow color maps aren't ideal for showing relative difference in values. But they are great if you want to be able to tell what the value (range)

I think the goal should not be to lower the standards for everyone, it should be to help bring people up to the basic standards. The more often people write informally, the more difficult it is for non-native speakers to learn correct gramm

The Scepter 50" 4k TVs recommended in the article are $200 at Walmart. The quality probably isn't as good, but at 1/8th the cost that's a hard up-sell.
