Can you provide some more info about them? I looked at the site, but there isn't a lot there beyond the signup-for-beta form. It looks kind of like a social-media based VC thing, is that correct? Interesting idea, but how feasible is that m

Thank you. That's pretty much what we've concluded: continue at my current job and hack at it on nights and weekends until a prototype is ready. I hadn't heard of TechStars, and will check them out.

That's pretty in depth. On one hand, the controversial stuff will be dug up by the media or someone else anyway, but on the other, it's asking quite a lot to hand over every bit of privacy you might have had.

If we have libraries (jQuery, Scriptaculous, etc) that do this for us, do they need to be added to main technology too? Would it allow a performance increase or something?

I think it's primarily that Best Buy came in and took all of their business. For all of its faults (and there are plenty), BB runs a pretty good ship.

I enjoyed the first half of Timeline, and like I said, it was my first exposure to the quantum physics presented there. The second half (after everyone was trapped in the past) seemed kind of cliche. I didn't find Prey too interesting thoug

People slag on him for his more recent work and speeches, but at least for me, his books really made me interested in the science presented in them. Even stuff like Timeline, which piqued my curiosity in everything it talked about.

It's crazy. Sometimes it feels that 37signals just shouldn't still be in business with how they do things. This makes it sound like they take the Cosmo Kramer school of business management, "this price just FEELS right." But it's been wildl
