A lot of the "plastic" is cellophane which is more or less chemically purified wood and decomposes. We have a problem with disposable containers but I think the attack on grocery store packaging materials misses the point.

T-Mobile has been doing a fantastic job. No need to think through privacy issues or use open and trust-less technologies, just let the administrators handle it.

128GB sounds like plenty for Alpine or Debian but way too small for OSX. I'm surprised Apple sells computers with non replaceable storage that small.

IMO: LFS is a hack and you probably shouldn't keep large files in git.

I didn't realize it worked that way until WFH. I guess it makes some sense but it's really annoying because despite being able to work from anywhere actually working outside your home state for any amount of time becomes really

I love my 3.5mm cables for this reason. No negotiating with vendors (except Apple but it's well known that they really suck) just plug and play.

I'm pro crypto as a financial tool but everything that uses it for social media seems like a mess. We already have Mastodon and that works very well without any crypto nonsense. I wonder if this is twitter's attempt to make dece

Isn't there a standard API used in the US? GNU cash talks about it some in their documentation but I've never tried using it.

They're supposed to help you locate fraudulent transactions after your card is stolen. I guess that benefits the merchant because it makes you less likely to mark legitimate transactions as fraudulent.

Many of us are very fast with text editors and very expressive with algorithms but struggle with DAW interfaces. Text is just flexible enough to work as a replacement and the already existing tools to manipulate and manage it make it very a
