I feel similarly about my time at art school. (It's the people. There is a deep humility in artists. A tolerance for uncertainty. A respect for mystery. It's rare.) My naive self could have gotten more out of it.

Coincidentally, Libgen has been down for 4 days. Never saw that before. Maybe the dark publishing forces are trying to corral their herd.

Who would you say is the asshole here? Is Banksy being a hypocrite? Is Andrew Gallagher being rude to a great artist?

It could be a test of which you prefer: an actual-marshmallow or a dream-marshmallow. It's only natural to prefer the first but I think we can be trained to prefer the second.

I think it's 2 different approaches, some enjoy the one (playing with the thing itself) and some enjoy the other (playing with the various secondhand abstractions that refer to the thing). They are different tastes. They deliver differ

That's a good one. I don't think I saw it in Linux's collection tho. It should be.

Why does the metal move from the wire to the work? Surface tension? Gravity? Ionic attraction? And speaking of ionic attraction, how feasible would an ionic deposition version of this be? Like electroplating but selective.

I think we're using 100 year old technology. Compressors and stuff. Whatever happened to acoustic cooling? Did peltiers ever get efficient?

I know. But I'm told they're calling "Aspergers" ADHD now. And the brittleness that comes with habitual focus looks like massive distraction. I mean you've got these guys who can focus to the point of magic, but one

>Can you please site some... I think I read it in Swami Vivekananda's "Raja Yoga". I'm more of a Zennist. Thought and knowledge are overrated. Study and cultivation of awareness is where it's at.

All the great inventions, great art, great ideas. ADHD. Nobody else has the focus. In ancient times the Raja Yogis (basically wizards) preferred to recruit from those with ADHD. They called them "habitually one-pointed".

Our culture demands that you just do the unpleasant activity and suck it up. Often. It's a lifestyle. School, work etc. Normies just say "ok" and get on with their life. ADHDers can't really do that. They can't eat

That's pretty darn far from what we're talking about here. The comparison is absurd.

A sheet of plastic. With a heavy static charge. Moving at 10mph. Assumedly in the vicinity of a big ground. Is that the whole experiment?

We could design the experiment. Then try to reduce the experiment to a cheap, convenient form. Surely somebody has done at least that.

It reminds me of that experiment where they had an audience of 1000 focus their attention upon a chair on a stage.

So they make infertile seeds. Well fudge. So cuttings or roots or whatever EDIT according to google they can be grown from seed. So experimentation is called for

Looking for seed. Only seeing little plants (which ship terribly and cost way too much). Petunias are dead easy to grow from seed.
