Cool, I didn't see that object api in v2 -- I think I must have skipped the v2 release altogether. I just remember the green v1 site :) So what is the binary data that is base64 encoded? How does it get 'converted' to the raw output? I'll d

The new API methods are pretty cool. Anyone else working on a project with them?

It wasn't that clear to me from the video what was being offered by your service and what was being done with tmux or other CLI tools. Is the benefit that you will spin up an EC2 instance from a config file in a repo and then me and my frie

I like that you don't have to start/stop when switching tasks, but I don't really get why there isn't a way to stop recording time. Does that mean at the end of the day, I'm supposed to make a 'break' entry (as you say in the FAQ) and let i

Anyone mind posting a screenshot? I'd like to see the UI but I don't want to create a blog on Blogger just to see it.

I do the same; I also like that it is tightly coupled to my github account, so my code and writings about code are all in the same place.

One nitpick I have with Hacker Monthly is that I get the digital copy a lot faster than the physical copy. A day or two difference is okay, but I myself reading the digital copy before the physical copy arrives. I don't know how much of thi

I think the idea is to work with the companies involved, they get some money from selling the shirts and the startups get brand exposure.

Would there not be issues in which restaurants don't want to reveal all the ingredients in their food? I can imagine some places would want to keep `secret` recipes from competitors. Assume that is a non-issue, I think that a mobile app wou

Reminds me of (the now defunct) Startup Schwag ( http://www.startupschwag.com/ ). I'm a sucker for stickers and tshirts with a cool company logo so it sounds awesome. I would take a look at what Startup Schwag was doing - if I recall you go

Will have to check this out this weekend. Any idea if the other MicroConf talks will be posted? I'd like to see the talks from Justin Vincent (from Techzing) and Noah Kagan.

Are you using a library for the user stuff in mongo/node, if you don't mind me asking? I haven't found anything that seems better than devise/cancan.

Are you using node.js for the whole stack? Or is there a Rails app running alongside for doing user accounts, payments, the marketing site/landing page etc?

I'm surprised this didn't get much of a response on HN - I really enjoyed the article. Very inspirational and candid.

So how do I add my project/idea? I didn't see a big flashing 'got a project?' button. I really like the idea and can't wait to see how it plays out.

Seems like Ryan re-opened the can of worms by tweeting about Ragel with a subtle jab at Zed ("Ragel was hindering. Needs a better 'when' operator."). It sounds like Ryan is saying that he re-wrote it because of technical reasons, when from

I like reading these types of blogs, but I find that most people end up quitting after a few weeks. I have about 4-5 on my RSS feeder that posted <10 times then went dead.

I found most of the official resources to be good, the issue I often run into is that if you google for anything you will end up on a blog post from 2007 about Rails 2 that doesn't really apply anymore.
