Bose makes a product specifically for sleeping. I don’t have any experience with them myself. https://www.bose.com/en_us/products/wellness/noise_masking_s...

I sign every message I send. I like that I can reasonably prove exactly what I did or did not write. Can’t remember encrypting any other than the occasional test message. I gave up on Thunderbird with the release of 78. Previously Emigmail

And we have a word for it, clickbait. It’s okay that it exists. It’s also ok for us to call it out when we see it.

I'm curious what lists you're using that gets you to 500k blocked domains?

I’ve used this too, and for quite a long time. Very happy with it. State can be synchronized, which makes it easy to use across multiple devices. I switched to this from my own algorithm which I mentioned here about a decade ago. https:&#x

San Diego has plenty of tech future. Startup scene is rich. Amazon is here now (Solana Beach; disclaimer I work there) - and hiring. Google is coming.

We use it at my company on a 3 node cluster running in AWS. We host about 10 small apps/services in it. They vary from things that do (basically) a single simple API call to full Rails apps. Experience has been very positive. We had ou

I use music (EDM, Ambient, etc.) that I really like to get myself into a zone. After the productivity surge, I emotionally reward myself by thinking (unintentionally, actually) about how great it felt to be productive and how awesome the

I know it's in progress. I'm anxiously waiting. If you tell me where I can send $ or BTC to help it go faster, I'll gladly oblige.

I'd pay good money for an iOS version. I'm limping along with Threema now (which, functionally, is really great!). I'd pay even more good money for hosting to not be in Google's data centers.

That's not exactly a rational reason. You're really going to struggle to beat Google's uptime. The reason I host my own mail because I want to own and control my data.

You left out the part where you were swirling your wine in its glass and adjusting your top hat while angling your nose sharply toward the sky. HN is a place where lots of launches happen. A place where open mindedness is a plus. Seriously.

The author ignores the power and idiocy of public unions in public education. Anyone interested in this topic should really watch the movie "Waiting for Superman".

If we spent the same $/TWh on coal/oil safety as we do on nuclear, maybe this would look different. Obviously, coal and oil are simply used, abundant, and cheap.
