   Gpu powered terminal emulator? This performs almost 100x worse than Mac OS Terminal.app. Cat-ting a long file takes 100x longer to draw on the screen! Isn’t it supposed to be faster if it’s “GPU powered”?

   Either the proof is incorrect or he/she set it up in a way to make it look extremely trivial. The way I saw the proof go is: to satisfy CAP, you need replication, and you need high availability. To be consistent you need replication. B

   First comment I make on HN, but I feel compelled to say something. This post reeks of the author piping on about the "good old days" of mathematical elegance. Firstly, mathematical elegance is not an objective metric by any means.
