Try it out. Create a new document. Start a sentence with some spelling errors. Notice the red underlines. Add the word anal. Notice they disappear. The word anus however is fine. So far 'anal' and the F-word are the only two words

Very disappointed to search this comment stream and not find one instance of "middle out".

What I want to know is what makes a SIM swapper angry enough to do this to his "rival"? Is there some kind of online turf these guys are fighting over? Or is it just personal dislike/escalating online feud over nonsense?

We had a similar situation with a guy who's old CRT monitor was "jiggly". I replaced the monitor. Same problem. Replaced the network card. Same problem. Tried replacing the whole PC. Same problem. Finally I put his whole set

I must be weird because I love YAML. I love the brevity of no closing brackets and the finality of the indentation being the code, rather than just window dressing that can get out of whack.

100% this. Your boss has a myriad of ways of communicating what they want w/o directly asking. This is a big reason I've never wanted to go into management. At my level I can just pretend I don't understand the implied ask (h

The Maya did this. Those last 5 orphaned days of the year were considered very bad luck. You did not want to be born in that period.

One of the hardest programs you could ever have to write would be historical times taking into account all the time zone and Daylight Savings Time changes over the years. It might be impossible. Just look at Indiana's history with time

When I switched from PC to Mac about 10 years ago, for the most part I was thrilled. But I missed a few features. The two big ones I remember are cut and paste files with Cmd-X/Cmd-V, and selectively delete specific files from the tras

I have Frontier FIOS and a physical DVR Box. Yeah you have to get really good at stopping at the right point. But I've never found a cloud FF/RW that's close to as snappy as a physical box.

Thank you. This is a perfect example of the maxim that it is at least an order of magnitude harder to refute propaganda than it is to create it. Imagine how much time went into the reddit graphic, vs. this report. And on top of that it will

The main leap imo is you need to think about the project as a whole, not just your piece. You need to "see around corners" to identify anything (even if it's not technically under your purview) that could block the project, t
