I don't have any economic theories to offer. All I know is I love my house, with all of its land, trees, and nice quality living. I will protect this thing to my death, because it is so much better than living in an apartment. I don&#x

Only because housing prices have been artificially inflated? I can prove how they are, but curious to know if you agree they are. Finance is a bandaid for deeper issues.

What does the world gain from finance? I am a bit confused. Seems to me that the only important things are assets, labor, and sometimes a medium of exchange. Just because I have a mortgage and a credit card doesn't mean I can't su

This is a funny and good presentation, but I can't help but feel there is a better way. I am the rockstar engineer. I am the one who delivers features people pay money for. Why can't I just have my own business and sell directly t

I think in my last interview I implemented my LRU cache and BFS graph code too quickly. They are desperate for a certain kind of engineer :)

It is inefficient to pay taxes on your salary, buy stocks, and then pay tax on those upon sale.

These are micro-optimizations that aren't very meaningful. It's more important to simply just have a car, than it is to have a car for a very specific price. It's the same reason why people would pay $12 at an airport for wha

While I respect your opinion, I would argue that if we were to look at the data, it would show some level of shift in people's preferences for where they want to live.

My opinion is that we are not at the top of the housing market. People are realizing that it is not fun to live in dense areas. Local markets may ebb and flow, but desirable houses will rise. Phoenix is particularly dense and the house pric

I prefer a "real" interview. A discussion is nice, but is not as focused as a "normal" interview. I would like to be able to guess roughly how well I have done based on the answers I have given. Lastly, I don't want

String manipulation is the gateway drug to programming, as it requires no dependencies and the sky is the limit for arbitrary logical games. Biggest challenge will be choosing a language and executing the program!

Right, for the polys I think we are talking about the same thing :) For the disk, I guess they viewed the disk as merely just an extension of RAM? If the read/write speeds were sufficient for them... page files galore :) I also remembe

If I remember correctly the two main hacks were making draw lists such that only certain polygon faces were rendered based on Crash's xyz position (the theory being that it isnt possible for other faces to be seen from that location),
