This is already mentioned in the comments section of the article but I find the claim ridiculous. > Apple will apparently make exceptions for people with documented medical conditions, but acquiring that accommodation reportedly requires

I disagree. I think if anything, it'll lead to people being more angry/disillusioned about recycling. It's the equivalent of your teacher/parent/manager micromanaging you on trivial tasks. Let the person figure out

Loss leader literally definitionally means that you're selling that good or service at a loss. Yes, you hope you recoup the losses by selling more goods and services but you do lose money on that good/service.

As the article states, this goes beyond the tax system in the US when global companies choose to book their profits elsewhere. If the US is charging x but Ireland offers <x, then a resourceful company will book their profits there. This

I agree with your sentiment but it's funny that you mention doctors being "gatekeepers for antibiotics." They're still not good at that. Most doctors have not updated their theory on gut microbiomes and still overprescri

The article seems to conflate crypto mining with the crypto market as a whole and I think that's wrong. The choice to wind down your GPU mining operation makes sense even if the crypto market is doing very well. 1. China banned crypto

They could have also said that they'll stop giving everyone secret margin trading accounts and tell users that any trade (due to market volatility) will take 2-3 days to close.

The intent of the article is to point out how the rich truly take advantage of existing tax laws/loopholes to stay even more rich. No one is claiming Thiel did anything illegal. But it does seem a bit preposterous that billionaires can

Why are you including federal loan programs and stimulus checks when we're talking about a CA program that benefits only landlords? These are also programs that landlords would have already directly and indirectly benefited from.

I don't understand why landlords would be in a class by themselves when the pandemic hurt businesses/ventures across the board. Why are restaurants forced to close not made whole? What about factories that lost productivity? What

The government forced companies to stop work (retail, factories, etc.) but the companies had to pick up the tab. They had people on payroll, leases to pay, depreciating assets to get rid of.

Sounds like a horrible comparison. YT Premium has many more features than that and wasn't made to recoup money lost due to an expensive recall. Feds pressured Peloton to "voluntarily" recall their device so now they're m

Why are your "live" prices completely out of sync? BTC is showing $33K for me right now whereas it's about 20% higher than that. ETH is showing 2.4K whereas it's around $2.2K.

It seems like what they want here is an advance + escrow. If you're working on, say a website with xyz features, how is a smart contract going to evaluate whether you met or didn't meet the criteria?
