Tell her to think of the robots. There are more robots that browse the web than humans, and her static design makes them angry. You are currently giving allegiance to robots over humans because the robots are estimated to become sentient

I think the author is getting flak for having his own "framework" while writing an article about being frameworkless. But the "framework" riot.js has just one important function called "observable." It's

I've always thought the opposite while working on my own projects with limited budget... I don't have enough time to learn all these js framework idiosyncrasies, and learn the way a framework wants me to do things. I know how to

It dances?!? Damn you Google Chrome. I thought of switching back to Firefox due to privacy concerns, but got accustomed to Chrome's dev tools. But then this happens... that might be the final straw.

I use one weird trick ... I have 2 USB drives. Every month or so I put my code on a USB drive and take it to my mom's house when I do laundry. I leave the latest backup there, and take the other drive home. Cloud providers hate me.

I haven't had health insurance for about 7 years now. The only way I would ever get health insurance was if the fee for not complying was greater than the cost of paying for insurance. Even then the worst they could do is take the fee

A javascript library would be extremely useful. I was thinking of extracting the gif parsing code from this project: https://github.com/shachaf/jsgif Then I looked at the code. I've never seen such callback hell

Finally someone said it. Even if I write more code by only using libraries and no frameworks (which is debatable), at least I'm happy while writing it. I do consider some frameworks to be exceptions though. Express is called a framew

PG says "do things that don't scale." At first "acquire users manually", then later you can automate the sexual process. I promise to apply these concepts when I go to Japan.

All I ever hear about is the "lean startup" model. Is there an alternative... like where I commit the next 3 years to build something awesome while I work a part-time job? (my model) Can someone think of a cool name for that met

INTP is actually the most common type on HN (or at least it used to be): https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=204240 I'm also an INTP, but apparently more evil: ICIE on Lipson-Shiu.

Anyone else go to Amazon thinking 'hmmm, maybe I'll buy a 100 day goal calendar, it's probably only $5.' The one he has on his wall is $42.50 on Amazon ... I think I'll print out 100 pages and tape them to my wall.

How do you make 10 cents a minute? Have you ever tried? When I needed money I tried... I made $2-$3 per hour writing articles. Transcribing audio, doing surveys and small 5 cent tasks all paid less per hour.
