It's a few things, drop is the word for licorice and lol is the word for fun. It's also one letter off 'droplul' which would be a swear word for asshole, literally: licorice dick.

The mayor confirmed in their press conference that all children were registered and noted that it was weird that they were never checked on their school attendance (mandatory at that age).

Depends entirely on your setup but this work seems a good fit for a job queue where you can spread the work over multiple machines and processes. I believe celery has integrations for Django.

This is mostly because email servers need to look at email headers to route mail to the correct person. The headers might be encrypted in transit by TLS between email servers but this is not guaranteed.
