Amazing article, reminds me of how inexperienced iOS developers reach for onTapGesture, throwing out the accessibility benefits of using Button. Now with AI being trained on all that shitty code I suspect apps are going to become less acces

Wow this is excellent, I wish bangs were part of the web spec and all browsers supported it client side. It could work like unlock origin and its filter lists so the websites aren’t coupled and instead are dynamic.

Reminds me of the Australian domestic violence website. It also has an app that quick escapes to a weather app. https://1800respect.org.au/sunny

Thank you for your service. Xcode gets a bad rap from developers but for beginners, it doesn’t overwhelm them, giving them a great entry experience into app development.

It’s a great idea but not sure for larger websites when these residential proxy platforms are using innocent user ip addresses. Then you’re left blocking innocent users. It’s a tough call.

And Apple is a company built on anti trust violations[1]. Every company that sees it profitable to break the law and pay a fine seems to do it. There are no “good guys”. [1] https://www.theverge.com/apple/659296/ap

I’m not discounting that other tools are to still be used. My reply is to the OP that was saying that quality gets worse applying an AI by an expert to an AI coded project. Time and place for both I agree.

Not exactly. It’s more a kin to giving an electric drill to a tradesman vs a screw driver. The tradesman will use the electric drill effectively.

I don’t get the comparison images; they’re of Claude’s start up and open code’s code diff and the author then claims that they prefer open code’s based off those images.

Agreed, MCP works and it works well. Often I’ll wrap an API in an MCP because getting the agent to interact with an API just wastes tokens with it trailing things back and forth; MCPs just work.

If you don’t know how to keep your openapi spec up to date then yes you’ll struggle with keeping an MCP up to date. At the end of the day, keeping APIs in sync with SDKs, documentation, MCPs is a solved problem through automation. It’s not
