A 16A circuit allows for 3.8kW or something like that @ 240v. With these ludicrous power requirements, you may in fact need to rethink how you use your power. E.g. if on same as a non-heat pump drier, you'd have to make a choice betwee

When a 5800X3D offers equal or better gaming performance at 1/2 to 1/3rd the power consumption (e.g. 220w vs 80w), and you pay $0.65 per kW/h during peak times, I can only imagine: "Quite a few".

Some more info here; this has wasted over a year's worth of time it seems. Someone thought they could patent track temp build up.. https://racesimcentral.net/multiple-sim-devs-iracing-kunos-m... As an iRacing user I&#x

A feature of the Scribe is "provides easy-to-adjust margins". Here's to hoping it'll also apply to PDF files.

This will replace my DXG, which is just too slow now. I already have the Gen 11 Paperwhite (SE), and I'm blown away by the upgraded display quality even from the Gen 10. The warm colour is for me a night and day upgrade for, sorry, nig

I am down 14kg this year through IF (typically around 20:4, some 18:6 and even some 22:2) - was 16-17kg down until I got my bread machine, now slowly working my way down again. Started at nearly 100kg; I consider my ideal weight to be just

Orly: I paid over A$1200 for a Gigabyte Aorus Xtreme 1080 "Tai" back in 2017. Still works stellar today, in son's PC.

Where it really mattered, the results are staggering. E.g. Star Citizen, with everything depending on its rather complex entity streaming. There, the 96MB of cache which I believe is for the 5800X3D's single CCD blows all other CPUs ou

How good is the 5800X3D!?! I've recently upgraded from a 3900XT which was permanently clocked to 4.4ghz. Whilst certain titles such as Star Citizen, DCS World and Flight Simulator are having staggering improvements, I'm also findi

After I got my Gen 11 PWSE on release last year I've been using it nearly daily. The warm, larger display is a game changer for me.

Thanks for injecting good and interesting facts in a discussion so prone to FUD.

As awesome# as that timepiece is, isn't this a bit like buying a dash cam after an incident? :) #) It's almost an incentive to ditch.

The Omni is AUD $2500. It had better be truly amazing, it's 4x the price I paid for my old Roomba 780 many a year ago that did a decent job of it until it died after 5-6 years of service.

This scene was incredibly strong in Norway back in the days, speaking as a then-teenager there.

As a Norwegian, I was going to say wait for the Dane to open their mouth; it's apparent in roughly 1 picosecond. But yeah this is probably with the written language/static imagery so please ignore, move along. :)

Two decades ago in response to colleagues' worry that I was drinking too much caffeine I quit for a year. All sources of caffeine; espressos, energy drinks, diet cokes. I didn't suffer any withdrawals. However I greatly missed my

Indeed. There's plenty of benefits to drinking caffeine; studies that talk to the benefits of alcohol consumption tend to be a stretch at best. I've seen first hand the destructive powers of alcohol, so I may be biased. But I know

It's a great idea to do one's content up this way, for accessibility reasons perhaps especially as well. I can only imagine that eg Braille readers will have a far easier time with this than a YouTube video, even perhaps with subt

It really isn't rocket science. Speaking as a dad of two. It took a few months each time, but we got there. We really had to be actively trying wrt the time of the month etc, so to me this speaks volumes.

That's the cheaper Chinese Omron switches. They are complete rubbish for the price point, in a Logitech mouse, as you can't easily swap them out. Asus are now selling mice with hot swappable switches. I made the (sorry) switch mys

Super impressive. On a more obscure side, I for one would love to learn how the Fanatec APM - Advanced Paddle Module - is used in the car. These magnetic carbon shifters feel great in my simrig; it's interesting how they are to be seen

Sorry I don't really post in public. There's plenty of YouTube videos that detail the impact of good studio lighting on a regular webcam. Logitech StreamCam is one of the better webcams. I have it on a flex stick that I pull down
