I want to see the excuse for banning these from being used indoors. It'll probably be along the lines of "children will be influenced or something". Gotta love the nanny state - not!

I've always wanted the core semantics of Clojure - immutability, the core abstraction of Seq over lists, vectors, and maps, with some strong type inference, and a nice python-like syntax.

Freedom of speech is and should be limited, even in the USA It's pretty creepy to see some on HN so adamant about limiting free speech.

I'm just not getting it. I understand the whole "let's make JavaScript the assembly language of the web", but "real" games (not 1987ish 2d scrollers) seem to have an uphill battle in the browser. IE probably won't ever implement WebGL, an

I find it amusing that how we Americans love to bash North Korea and Iran. So what are you saying? That everybody else isn't privy to your insight about India, China, and Africa? So you don't see something unique about the regimes in N.

Yeah, it was very creepy how the mainstream media never questioned the ramifications of an entire city being under newspeak "lockdown". I'm sure there are lots of authoritarian types in government who are very pleased with how docile the sh

Yeah, Crytek makes it a point of pimping their engines quite a bit. The problem is that they're not comparing their engine to Minecraft, but to Unreal 4, Frostbite 3, Id Tech whatever, etc.. Is someone going to choose to play Crysis 3 beca

Yeah, with the size of government now, you need half the school day dedicated to civics K-12. The Obama crowd would love that.

I don't know where you're deriving social norms from conformity. If anything, with Europe being traditionally much more leftist than the U.S. there has been much more conformity of the individual to the state in Europe.

That's a fake. Real laser weapons like seen in Star Wars and The Terminator can be seen coming out of the gun at very fast speeds of hundreds of miles an hour. Also, a blaster like Han Solo had would have blow up that drone as soon as the

And it should be noted that most frequent flyers have, since 9/11, severely moderated their personalities WHEN ONBOARD THE FLIGHT. I had routinely seen passengers chastising flight attendants and even arguing with them prior to 9/11. Aft
