I am very curious why public private key auth is not a thing for websites and applications. I would rather have a single password to the server that publicly hosts my public key then I can simply point websites and applications to that addr

An interesting note on this is the main reason any urban areas are overpriced is because of max desired commute to a high paying job. If more remote options become available for this, we will likely see a decline in pricing for real estate

A lot of startups are starving for people who have experience even if they don’t have a degree. I’ve worked with compsci PhDs that spent hours/days doing something that 3 years of experience in a heavy industry will teach you to do in

By that logic shouldn’t we also stop using programming languages that aren’t threadsafe? Segfaulting could be prevented if C++ wasn’t so esoteric.

I recall somewhere reading about a team taking a 4K video walking past someone with keys on their belt and using photogrammetry to reconstruct 3d printable files of the keys from the visible angles and most of the printed keys worked.

Bash has one major advantage though: it’s core libraries and and commands almost never change which mean your scripts are most likely going to work forever. Python core library development is filled with asshats who like to deprecate naming
