   As stated you can generate backup keys, but you can also associate more than one hardware token to your account. Which is what I do. I keep a separate yibikey in a lockbox off site as a break glass option.

   Given that many organizations literally refer to their employees as “Resource Units” literally abstracting away their humanity I’m going to say… yes. We are at that point (and have been for quite some time).

   I got tired of fighting to keep Fusion running in wine so now Fusion is literally the only reason I maintain a windows partition to dual boot into. I hate that. I’m no longer using it professionally so I could explore other options but Free
