because the benefits aren't that much greater, and great features in languages like erlang and haskell end up (to some extent) in popular languages (which further reduces the need to adopt such languages)

The analogy doesn't make any sense, computers today are better by any conceivable metric than computers before.

Isn't the issue with that the prohibitive costs, it can easily be 5 to 10 (maybe even more for long running tasks). Currently they are probably subsidizing the compute costs to some extent.

Ya this is mostly true, grades rarely matter after you graduate. But you must maintain a "passing grade" and matters if you are pursing grad school or certain majors, and sometimes matter right after graduation or for internships

A bubble isn't related to whether something is useful or not, it's about speculation and detachment from reality. AI being extremely useful and being a bubble aren't mutually exclusive. It can be the case that everyone find

It's very clear Israel is a dying vestige of settler colonialism implementing its last hoorah. Ironically their hoorah is them perpetrating a Holocaust the same thing that resulted in their creation.

I'm surprised this hasn't been flagged yet. Anything positive about palestine usually gets flagged in 5 minutes. I guess negative news doesn't get flagged.

Yes they are. A prime example is them providing technological resources for the holocaust happening in Gaza. What’s more evil then abetting an actual holocaust?

I don’t think the measures go far enough. He is probably the most insufferable pseudo-intellectual in the tech world. Constantly uses his “PhD in QUANTUM GRAVITY” to insert himself and demonstrate to the world how rotted his brain is. He

It seems LLMs are doing a lot of the heavy lifting figuring out the exact test, build, lint commands to run (even if the AGENTS.md file gives it direction and hints). I wonder if there are any plans to support user defined build, test, and

Great article, it's time that tech workers unite and unionize and stand in solidarity with other workers. This kind of behavior from employers to employees is unjust and despicable.
