It's maybe $250 for someone's old phone. Other than that -- next year. And this is other companies' choice, not GrapheneOS team, to fix on releasing grossly insecure hardware or NOT releasing patches and fixes.

> Messaging, high impact. Messaging can be replaced with one of the hundreds decent messaging apps. Unlike the backup app which is utterly unusable, untrustworthy and frankly crap. And CANNOT be replaced by anything else. As it stands it

Investigated, prosecuted and jailed (if necessary). So all the people companies are better off, not just you and other shareholders. You know, the opposite of two-tier justice system.

In the longstanding tradition of leading on the forefront safety, we introduce Engine Check coming up after mysterious, unaccounted for, unsigned voltage drops. Can't be too safe if it could be a short, right? "Tinkerer mode"

That's a massive difference to me (you rightly called me out on that one). One is 5 seconds on wifi, second is grumbly attempts to create throwaway email to create the throwaway account. I agree in principle but disagree because I hate

You won't see GOS on the $100 ever, because they don't contain the hardware GOS relies on. It simply won't work. Of course you can fork it, adapt and run the less safe clone, but the official GOS won't. ...unless you acc

Which things you'd say are very suspicious? And "they are suddenly very AI obsessed" sounds so alarming - can you point to something I could read?

This reads shockingly bad, but most of that won't apply to the new devices. Like, it will be Qualcomm, it will support unlockng , relocking, custom keys and will not have a secret debug key - otherwise there simply would be absolutely

Kind of not like this. I mean the coat on my brick wall (and ideally roof), that will reflect most of the infrared and UV. I've used a white paint like this on the conservatory and white walls outside, and along with a solar-reflective

And having to restore everything (this is a house with personal items, not a loaner, anonymous flat) if someone trashes it? Naah, even a small risk is unacceptable in such case.

Terrible. No malware / trackers / ad blocking on 9999. I hope at least they'll keep these options in their tunnel configuration but if not there's not much sense in keeping their service....
