My HP 28s calcultor from 1988 (still got it, still works excellently) is programmed in a stack based, Forth + Lisp inspired hybrid language, that was lightyears ahead of all the concepts, programming languages that I had seen back then (Bas

I second this. Very good tool for diagramming. All kinds of stencils / shapes / objects: Wireframes, UML, workflows, BPML,... Edit: And of course you can draw free hand. It's vector based.

I end up going back to Trello. - Years ago I was using PivotalTracker. But Trello was way better. Every couple of months I try to see if there is anything better, that's when I check out Asana and go back to Trello.

I know a few people who - even after trying - can't make "force touch" work properly. I love it and try to show them. But they can't seem to make the effort to learn it.

For me the larger screen has much more value than the ability to have a small phone with me. For typing reasons and for doing research on a larger screen or reading news or ebooks. Also, I use my iPhone more like a PDA, the telephone featur

Mainly macOS. Well, to begin with: I don't perceive it as "terribly slow". Yes, it has hiccups at times, but we are talking about several thousand notes. And in that range I haven't seen a real altrrnative. For instance

Then, in the web sphere you'd have to focus on PHP (in Germany). But then again, looking at the details, you will realize that those job offers ask for developers who are fluent in: php, JavaScript, css, mysql, Photoshop (!), wordpress

Evernote does something like this. And it let's you search for text in the images as well. I have over 12k notes in Evernote. Many screenshots. It has excellent OCR capabilities, full-text search (via Lucene?) and syncs across devices.

I came to SICP from a totally different path. In 1996 I started programming Scheme and developed my own library for matrix calculus and for symbolic calculus. A few months later I had a copy of SICP in my hands. All the things I did previou

Actually, I pay that extra amount without hesitation. Thinking of the times when I constantly had to fiddle around with my Windows ThinkPad or my Ubuntu ThinkPad, time is more expensive for me, so the extra 700 Euros means nothing for me. -
