Mm, I could see someone deeply invested in and knowledgeable about politics feeling this way. But I think it’s an uncharitable read. I don’t think the average layman would bristle so hard at this. What facts is the author not presenting?

As someone who is very personally interested in the intersection between different political opinions, I really like how this article side-stepped individual issues to present the argument that Amazon is bad as a whole. “Ok, you don’t conne

No, that’s stupid. You’re replying to someone who would consider themselves fairly conservative. And in my mind conservatives follow and respect the rules and traditions. This is not following or respecting anything. Though I will say, it’s

I watched the video in the first link and it’s a pretty extreme stretch to say it was “offering food” to the human holding the camera. There was barely any indication it saw the person. The second video looked significantly more promising

I used to get wrapped around the axle about things like this and write analysis posts which I normally did not end up publishing. I stopped doing it because I realized it’s not helpful. This isn’t going to change anything or help anyone. Pe

I need the opposite of this. Some of my friends just want to sit in Discord and play the same three games all day every day. I either need a way to get them to do something different or to find new friends

I appreciate you finding a problem and trying to build a solution, but I think your solution will not work very well. Shellcheck is not a virus or vulnerability scanner, it’s not designed for the thing you are using it for.

Why do you think it’s OS X culture and not Rust culture? Popular rust tools like starship, atuin, and cargo itself ask you to curl an installer. They certainly didn’t invent this but they did re popularize it

I like micro and use it occasionally. I like this even more. I booted up the editor and instantly thought “it would be nice if there was a clickable buffer list right about…” and then realized my mouse was hovering over it. My next instant

I would venture a guess that the name recognition helps them. No developer wants to install a distro they’ve never heard of, but they do want to install Ubuntu. If WSL supports Ubuntu then they can cash in on that.

I didn’t get a notification but I did see a banner at the top. It honestly took me a second to realize it was an ad. I think that’s actually worse because people won’t have as negative of a reaction to it, and they should.

I did development on a Chromebook for two years in college and managed to get a degree, so I know for a fact this isn’t true. A more powerful computer is definitely better but Chromebooks work fine for many tasks.

YouTube ads are notoriously tricky to block and can’t be blocked by any DNS-level ad blocker I have tried. If you don’t use YouTube then they probably work well for you, but a lot of people do use YouTube and want those ads gone

So I did some research into this and it’s complicated. Seems as though the founder is Russian, the business is registered in Cyprus and is under EU jurisdiction, and the team is all over the world with the majority based in Russia. Relevant

Clean, clear, compelling. I’m not a huge fan of desktop Linux and I’ve posted that several times, but I can still find joy in other people’s success. This is the kind of marketing work that operating systems like Mint and Ubuntu need! Thank

How would you implement the features of Group Policy in Linux? Legitimately asking, I don’t know. I use Ansible when managing multiple Linux servers but I’m by no means a system admin.
