I use zed when I need to quickly edit something, it pops up so fast- everything else feels sluggish.

Oh, now I can't unsee it :D I wonder if it's something in the font that's deliberate, or if there is a bug somewhere.

Trying it now, and it certainly is interesting, just seeing it in unexpected places like the URL bar in firefox, will keep it for now. There doesn't seem to be a monospaced variant unfortunately, which could make for an interesting ter

I can't trust Llama3, because I have no idea what they did to the model to make it "less woke".

Yep, but we didn't realise what we were throwing out. Having a tangible thing somehow makes it mean more, think about picking out a record or CD to play and leaving it to play as opposed to scrolling through infinite music to choose wh

Its insane really, anyone who has worked with LLMs for a bit and has an idea of how they work shouldn't think its going to lead to "AGI". Hopefully some big players, like FB bankrupt themselves.

Nice to have something really fast, maybe we can have something as good as TurboPascal and other early Borland tools again.

I don't buy that LLMs will get us AGI, they may be part of a system but not the whole.

I haven't found one AI written thing that doesn't make me glaze over. Not only that, it makes me feel like the author has contempt for the reader if they can't be bothered to put the work in.
