I see jQuery misused every day, I'm pretty sure I was one of those terrible people a couple years ago. Since then I hardly use jQuery anymore except for delegate() and that's only because I haven't explored other libraries to replace it. j

This is also my biggest grip with the new .on(). I can't quickly look through code anymore since .on() can take on different meanings based on the arguments passed. When jQuery 1.7 was released I commented on this on the release notes pag

Google didn't help China censor the internet (as stated in the 1st paragraph). It makes it very hard to read the rest of the article after seeing this. In fact, Google pulled its services out of China because it wouldn't succumb to censor

Unfortunately, I work at a place where most of the programmers here use naming conventions like these. I'm pretty sure it's to cover up their lack of ability or maybe they are suffering from dunning-kruger.

HTML shouldn't need CSS + JavaScript to incorporate basic functions. The point of these new elements is to DEFINE semantics that we can take advantage of TOMORROW. This goes far beyond screen readers.
