I'd think the ergonomics argument is just wrong wrt. repetitive stress. Isn't more variation in movement pretty much always better in that regard?

I was going to say, that theory sounds an awful lot like Stephenson's stuff about neurolinguistic programming.

I think one of the biggest problems with Python is this notion of "good for small scripts / throwaway stuff". It is far too often that a program is given this treatment, and then needs to grow or be reused and maintained late

Astroturfing just means faking grass roots / community movement. Makes less sense here than in politics, but it would be possible if the marketing department was writing these blog posts on behalf of engineers.

Apple is only selling refurbs of the iPhone X. Sure, 3 years is a long time in tech, but there are undoubtedly vast quantities of older models that are still in working condition.

If we started with this approach from the beginning, we wouldn't even have social media or sites like Wikipedia. Enshrining it in law just means only the existing players can play the game.

I was just thinking in terms of the morality / virtuosity discussion there. In practical terms, there are of course massive problems with enforcement and the flight of wealth, for both estate taxes and wealth taxes.
