And even if you do not yet violate their TOS, they do change them to their liking and kick you out anyway. Relying on Amazon as a partner is not really something I can recommend.

Amazon actively shutsdown projects, which automaticly replace affiliate links. Most still running projects are just too small to be noticed yet.

They closed down all charity and affiliate related projects and replaced them with smile to make it cheaper. aflattr.com + socialvest.com

In my opinion it still lacks more automatic deploy mechanisms. Ansible has some great ideas, but I guess the time to write your deploy scripts is needed. I'm still hoping for a salt package like system. ( https://github.com&#

With Salt you can now go ssh only ( http://docs.saltstack.com/ref/cli/salt-ssh.html ) and if speed is of essence switch to the faster non ssh method (0mq style).

I don't want to discourage you, but socialvest.us and aflattr.com both did redirect via affiliate links and were burned from Amazon.

4-10% actually. And there were projects actually using these percentages to donate to good causes, till Amazon burned them and copied the idea to make it more financially positive for them 4-10% vs 0.5%.

One reason why they axed down socialvest.com and aflattr.com support and started doing smile. Nothing new, but cheaper.
