Isn't GLP-1 creating a "feel-good" starvation? Patching the receptors telling the brain one is not hungry and then just letting the body starve happily, leading to significant muscle loss and aged face? Contrary to e.g. water

The whole app ecosystem however can be generated to a large extent, so missing apps should not be a barrier for free/open source mobile OSes assuming an open hardware mobile SoC.

Not necessarily; coding agents might help to accelerate getting to Android/iOS feature parity much faster than what was the case with Linux.

I think you know the answer already. Another half-baked initiative. I can't imagine countries willingly losing their tax revenues.

Electric cars are way way simpler than ICE cars. It's just market segmentation gone wrong when EU car manufacturers wanted to sell these cheaper cars as premium/luxury ones (i.e. greed) and therefore couldn't learn the lesson

I just feel like Mistral is heading for bad financial times when they are focusing on fringe academic areas and not on building a business out of their research. Initial Mistral was largely based on LLaMA, then they added innovative MoE and

Grace GB10, Vera's predecessor, had a single core performance comparable to M3 so I guess we can expect at least M4 level performance now.

Wrt politicians trying to enact privacy-destroying laws in a permanent Ralph Wiggum loop - how about creating an agent monitoring incoming proposals and immediately spamming representatives and opposition the moment anything shows up?

Coding locally with Qwen3-Coder-Next or Qwen-3.5 is a piece of cake on a workstation card (RTX Pro 6000); set it up in llama.cpp or vLLM in 1 hour, install Claude Code, force local API hostname and fake secret key, and just run it like regu

Wasn't the best practice to run one model/coding agent that writes the code and another one that reviews it? E.g. Claude Code for writing the code, GPT Codex to review/critique it? Different reward functions.

Yeah, I didn't want to spend more than 50k for local inference stack. I can amortize it in my taxes so it's not a big deal but beyond it would start eating into my other allocations. I might still get M5 Ultra if it pops up and be

That's my whole point. M3 Max 128GB -> M3 Ultra 512GB. M5 Max 128GB -> M5 Ultra 512GB. But if M5 Max 192GB -> M5 Ultra 768GB, i.e. Ultra having 4x the memory of Max.

Huge local thinking LLMs to solve math and for general assistant-style tasks. Models like Kimi-2.5-Q3, DeepSeek-XX-Q4/Q5, Qwen-3.5-Q8, MiniMax-m2.5-Q8 etc. that bring me to Claude4/GPT5 territory without any cloud. For coding I ha
