I had a look but all of the oil bottles I could find in my area were flavored with tart/sour taste to mask rancidity, so no thanks.

Yeah, I mean if I open a capsule, I can tell. But without opening it, is there any way to tell it's rancid?

Omega-3 together with vitamin B2 repolarizes microglia from pro-inflammatory state to healing state, so no wonder your brain got a boost. Now, how can I tell if Omega-3 capsules are rancid?

Does this support hybrid search (dense + sparse embeddings)? Pure dense embeddings aren't that great for specific search, they only hit meaning reliably. Amazon's own embeddings also aren't SOTA.

> The end of communism in China and the Soviet Union was a major factor in the 42 percent reduction of hunger between 1990 and 2017. This sounds like a complete BS. There were no starving people in the Soviet Union and its satellites aft

I am fine with downclocking the RAM; my X870E board (ProArt) should be fine running ECC, I only use 9800X3D to have a single CCD (maybe upgraded later to EPYC 4585PX) and together have RTX 6000 Pro and 2x NVLinked A6000 in PCIe slots, with

Now where can I get 64GB ECC UDIMM DDR5 modules so that my X870E board can have 256GB RAM? The largest I found were just 48GB ECC UDIMMs or 64GB non-ECC UDIMMs.

HDPlex GaN power supply? 1 HDD consumes around 5-7W idle, so with 8 HDDs you get to 40-60W on HDDs alone (all idle); adding 6W with N100 seems like insignificant fraction. The moment you actually use any HDD the consumption per HDD shots up

Why don't you look at Topton's N100 boards with 6x SATA, 2.5Gb LAN, PCIe slot for extra SATA ports and Jonsbo N3 NAS case with it? For $300 you'd have a way better NAS than anything Synology offers.

With the Android becoming a privacy nightmare, Pine was like the only hope for some FOSS phones. Their main drawback was the software. Now given the coding LLMs available these days, would generating a set of useful apps for Pine be a major

PinePhone Pro's main drawback was the low-res display for a price of a midrange Android with far superior specs. I was thinking about buying one but it was barely better than the regular PinePhone.

Google is really turning into a dystopian company, destroying any goodwill their virtuous employees created in the past. It feels like they are primed to be the main turnkey tyranny facilitators.

The worst thing is when LLMs introduce subtle bugs into code and one just can't spot them quickly. I was recently doing some Langfuse integration and used Cursor to generate skeleton code for pushing some traces/scores quickly. Th

This is a tokenizer issue. Just ask it to first spell out the word letter by letter and then ask the same question. Not sure why people use it as a proof of LLMs being stupid. It's an artifact of compression over tokens and nobody both
