Is it though? On the VSCode site it says "Built on open source." I don't see anywhere it says "Is open source."

Wow it has been close to a decade since then. Is there a simple made Easy 2? He presents a number of grandiose ideas, it would be interesting to see what he thinks he got right and what went off the rails.

I don't mind if it does or it doesn't. I haven't seen a source for the 0.5%, everything I had seen had higher numbers, so I thought I would ask. But remember kids, not knowing, being curious, and asking questions is frowned

I didn't see a reference for your number so I went looking for data, that is what I found. Hence I asked where your data came from. >How can you still push lies like that? Still? that is the first time I have posted that, so I not

Where did you get your 0.5% from? According to Johns Hopkins in the UK more than 15% of those who get it die, for the US it is 3.7%. The link says those numbers were updated this morning so they are current. https://coronavirus.

It depends on how fancy you want to get. It could be as simple as a unit test that runs some scenarios a dozen times under a timer and fails if 90 percentile time is greater than the target time.

D2 could have come with a source directory and a make file then been sold just the same way it was. If they were woried about how it would effect priacy they could have added the source directory in a patch a year later.

Then you are using the wrong tools. I still remember the first time I got to use a drill press. I totally could have drilled holes in stuff all day. Two thumbs up, would drill again!.

What you are asking about has nothing to do with Android development, so you won't find that tutorial. It is Software Engineering. SE, will be a bit generic and won't directly talk about making an Android app. So you will have t

I get thinking phones were to small of a market or margins were too thin back then. But you would think when the smart phone market got bigger and prices went up someone would have re-evaluated that decision.

Where would all these bears migrate from? Most bears aren't migratory creatures. Something would have to be driving them out of there homes elsewhere, if they are actually migrating.

~10X a performance penalty doesn't seem that bad. In C a pointer derefference will beat a web service call by more than 10X. Also why a handjammed KV store? EDN and other(faster) serialization libraries have been around for quite a w

I don't see why it would. Given what modern CPUs do to make memory fast and safe, pointer arithmetic is a ridiculous simplification that has no bearing in reality.

As stated in the syllabus no, as seen in the classroom yes. In general the students at a top-teir university are faster on the pickup so classes can go deeper into the material. Sure 10% more in one class isn't a big deal but repeate
