Alluding to this, at what point can such a huge company say that we have technical debt and that we'll be focusing on refactoring and making the base solid instead of releasing new features?

Yeah, I too have been meaning to try it out. I guess the "barrier" for me is the ecosystem surrounding it.

Out of curiosity, I looked at the headers after clicking on your link and I found that it was sending Referrer as: https://news.ycombinator.com which is not an issue. But then I refreshed the page and saw the same Referrer again

I haven't tried Shotcut yet, but I can definitely vouch for Kdenlive. Been using it on and off for a few years now and is still the best and stable option for video editing in the FOSS space

My comment might be tangent, but I just love Cloudflare Workers. I have a side project which needed an API w/o any db access (for now) so I just moved my API to CF Workers and been using their free tier ever since. I'm still nowhe

While I somewhat agree with this, another good alternative would be Affinity Photo[0] (and is 50% off as of this writing). One time buy, nice UI and UX and is also quite comparable to Photoshop. 0: https://affinity.serif.com/

Can't believe how accurate this is! Add some accompanying material like a paid course or a short book, where the person goes into more detail and you're good to go.
