I wonder if the ProtonMail server will ever be open source. It'd be pretty cool to see the code and possibly self host, although having source code available might allow spammers to abuse the system.

Cool, I didn't know it existed, but I'll check it out from time to time! What was the main reason for requests to open source the project? I'm curious because personally I don't really mind if a job board is open or clos

In Go, there is an official, experimental project called gomobile [0] that allows one to generate a Java or Objective C binding to be used in mobile projects based on Go source code. It comes with some restrictions and is still deemed exper

I see, I didn't know that their frontend was that old. I also didn't know the difference between angular 1 and other angular. It was not fair to say "constantly rewriting". I wonder in how many years they, or other users

I'm excited for the new products that this version will enable them to ship. At the same time, interesting that they completely rewrote an angular app with react. I wonder if that was truly necessary and if their engineering effort cou

I have been building and using an open source solution called Dnote [0] for the past two years. Maybe it could help you and others in search for a solution. I used to write down information in note-taking apps but doing so didn't help

I had a similar thought when I landed on the site. On the other hand, some features/trends of modern websites could improve some aspects of our user experience. For instance, automatically getting my location could be sometimes useful.

Contrary to the author's point, I don't think a git commit becomes more beneficial to the readers by adding a human context. Building "compassion and trust" actually distracts readers from the essence of the commit: what

I see how my comment was confusing. In capacitor, when you initialize a project for a platform (IOS, Android, etc), a bunch of native source code is generated and they are not overwritten.

One of the main differences is that Capacitor projects treat build artifacts as source code, and hence the artifacts are to be version controlled. I thought such aspect was kind of nice for cases in which you need some customization. Here i
