This is between mitochondrial genomes, not plant genomes. Unless the roundup genes are part of the mitochondrial, not the nuclear, genome, this doesn’t apply.

I’ve used popcounts for full vectorization for b-bit minwise hashing, comparing bloom filters efficiently, and bitvector traversal. It’s a standard primitive in a lot of low-level code.

Some are brilliant (e.g., Ronan Farrow), but the real point is that they’re speaking to an audience which they’re essentially trying to coddle because the audience isn’t comprised of experts.

I also support high intensity exercise. I’ve really enjoyed taking up powerlifting and it gives me a way to focus on my strength instead of appearance. It’s still treated the latter well while keeping my focus on something that isn’t so cos

That’s profoundly horrifying. In America, unauthorized dissemination of nude photos is both criminalized and widely reviled. What I don’t know is if it’s that difference or end to end encryption platforms that makes the difference.

PyTorch and Tensorflow both have C++ frontends now, which lowers the barrier of use for me. Being able to test quickly in Python without compiling is really nice; while I prefer C++ for final products, prototyping PyTorch in Python feels li

Anorexia and bulimia are both OCD spectrum disorders. It's not remotely surprising that they're linked, but, as parent comment suggests, please help those who need it get treatment, even (especially) if it's yourself.

The social market economy has been very successful, but your use of “fungible” doesn’t seem to make sense, unless this is satire.

Democrats aren’t in favor of open borders, but evidence-based border security. The president’s platform is attacking anyone who doesn’t want his proposed “solution” as dismissing border control and immigration reforms. It’s dishonest and in

-Wclass-memaccess is a warning emitted by newer g++ versions. It’s led me to use safer/better, if less convenient, options. (That being said, it’s only applicable to C++.)

Here's what bothers me. When I see Data Science in industry, it means an analyst. When I see Data Science in academia, I see Michael Jordan and Alex Smola. I think this is the core disconnect.

There’s the old quip about Gershwin asking Ravel to teach him. Supposedly, Ravel declined, saying “Why should you be a second-rate Ravel when you can be a first-rate Gershwin?” In this more specific light, find your own path rather than cop

For those interested, it was addressed by changing the license to GPLv3, inheriting it from the original code. As someone who GPL-licenses most of his software, this is a good reminder of what it looks like when copyleft licenses work as in
