I do use python, when bash doesn't make sense. Perhaps in this case dealing with API's Python was the better choice...but, the parent comment just blanket bashed Bash, and so did you. ;) I have no issue with bash, it's simpl

Luckily management is not the requirement for more money nowadays. Most Staff/Principle and even Senior engineers are on equal footing (and often more) with managers in terms of salary. At least in my country.

No degree and earning more than my colleagues with Masters/Doctorates due to having far more experience than them and having had a head start due to not spending years on a degree.

Issue is when your primary tenant(s) are much larger than the other...eventually vertical scaling is difficult even for only 1 tenant, depending on it's size.

America has done much of the same for years. China isn't even allowed to have modern CPU technologies, and such tech is banned for export to China

I have a mouse cable bungee. Particularly useful for twitch based FPS shooters such as Counter Strike, but overall ensures never to get the cable in your way. PS: You don't use wireless for competitive shooters. LAN Cable, cable mous

Some of the comments here...wow. If you crave human interaction, here's a thought: "Go outside". You don't need to go to work to meet other humans.

Apple really isn't all that. Technically, much meh. Mindshare/Fashion statement is where it's at. That can change.

It's easy. You just need to stop thinking of these things as toys... Awk + bash could easily recreate most existing code in a couple of lines

And be so far behind it's not even funny. Look at AMD vs NVIDIA RTX implementations. Nah, NVDA is a solid buy for long term. They also almost acquired ARM (Which shows where their heads are at at the very least.) Owning ARM, the thing

IMHO, It should break the CI systems. If you don't pre-bake the known-hosts, then you'd allow each new ephemeral run to use whatever github tells you it's key is. It did briefly break ours, as we pre-bake the known_hosts file

Can't wait. People should be so ashamed that what's basically an IRC client (Slack) requires more than 4GB of ram and so many cores. Laziness. Truly.

As opposed to? Fargate is cheap, you can have permanently running workloads and still pay less than non-fargate options.

Amazon EKS + Fargate. No bare metal to manage. Control plane complexity is abrastacted away. Fargate namespace + profiles, no worker node configuration. EKS cost will be $90/m Thereafter you only pay for what cpu/mem limits you as
