If this is not an illustration of an executive power grab, what power authorizes the executive branch to round up a group of people? Even so, legal or not, there is no valid reason to legitimize the internment of Japanese-American citizens.

How so? There is a well thought out reason for this ordering [1], and it has taken hold in many other languages, such as rust and scala. Compare with the complexity of c or c++ type signatures. [1] http://golang.org/doc/articles/gos_declar

Not to mention the condescending attitude: Most engineers I know would still argue that Merge Sort is a better solution and apparently Robert has had the same argumentative response even though he is an expert in the field. In the lecture

For an example of a runtime state machine, you may want to take a look at Russ Cox's implementation of NFA simulation for regexp in go [1]. The concepts may be a little impenetrable for a Sunday, but there are some interesting references in

No offense taken ;). It's just that there is a lot of thought wasted solving a derivative problem that could be avoided by continuing to use a simpler solution to the first order problem. This is classical overengineering. At the same time,

I have always been confused by this, as well. IANAL, but the reasoning seems to be based in the need of educators to reduce disruption and offensiveness, at the cost of protected speech. This wikipedia article [1] does a good job laying out

What doesn't make sense about this decision is its clear lack of constitutional basis. How does an opinion (via statute) on illegal drug use conflict with a constitutional amendment?

I don't see how this is a "failure of the free market". Text messaging prices are fixed because one can't freely move their plan and hardware from telco to telco when one gets cheaper or better.

I find this technique great to keep unrelated fixes in separate commits. A single revision may not pass a set of unit tests, but the entire feature branch will before being merged into the release line. Keeping the barrier low for committed
